Labuan money broking licence
A Labuan money broking licence permits a licensed broker to bring together and match clients with counterparties in money and foreign exchange markets — it is the licence used for FX and CFD brokerage in Labuan.
Labuan is the principal jurisdiction for regulated FX and CFD brokerage in South-East Asia, and the money broking licence issued by Labuan FSA under the Labuan Financial Services and Securities Act 2010 is how brokers operate there.
Licensed money brokers act as intermediaries, matching clients with counterparties and earning brokerage or commission. Labuan FSA sets substantive conditions on capital, experience, premises and counterparties — this is a regulated licence, not a registration.
We provide the complete service: pre-assessment, advice on current requirements, preparation of the application, and management of your interactions with Labuan FSA. We also incorporate and maintain the licensed entity itself, because a licence applicant needs a Labuan company and a licensed trust company behind it.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as a Labuan forex licence?
Yes. 'Labuan forex licence' and 'Labuan forex broker licence' are the market's informal names for the money broking licence issued by Labuan FSA.
Can I use a virtual office?
No. Labuan FSA requires a furnished operational office in Labuan where the business activities are genuinely carried out. This is one of the requirements applicants most often underestimate.
Do I need prior industry experience?
Labuan FSA usually expects applicants to demonstrate at least three years of experience in money broking or a related financial intermediary field. We assess this with you before an application is lodged.
How long does the application take?
Timing depends on the completeness of the application and Labuan FSA's assessment. We will give you a realistic timetable for your specific case at the pre-assessment stage rather than a headline figure.
